i played this deck in the finals at Euro Rome 2010. i expected only Heiner to play minion, and i was quite sure, he will play balrog. so accordingly i put together the hazard deck. since Heiner loves to CvCC (thus moving his characters), i added cards like Veils Flung Away and focused on Dwarves+Maia. (in semi-finals i played with undead creatures.)
my resource deck is concentrating on freeholds around Vales of Anduin, allowing some big factions + to fealty sworn. try to avoid double wilderness (except first turn). noble steeds are gold, so it might be worth waiting to play the Riders of Rohan, till you got at least 2 steeds. or if you have already 2 of them and no Riders, go to dunharg only for the steeds.
as soon as you got the Sapling, sideboard The White Tree, Towerguard, Return of the King for a last move to minas Tirith (problem here is that there is no sage with aragorn. thats why i had bilbo+chance meeting in the SB, but i rarely had the cahnce to sideboard all those cards when needed).
the most obvious danger are assassins. Forwarned + Noble Steed/Halflings Stealth are fine. keep an eye on your Aragorn, who will always be the first target for hazards, since he is supposed to be the source of many MPs at the end!
